Service-learning
If you enjoy working in the community, service-learning may be for you.
Service-learning combines campus and community life to create an experience where students earn course credit while improving the local area through exciting volunteer projects. This collaborative teaching and learning environment promotes course content, personal growth and civic engagement.
For example, students in the Department of Women’s Studies may enroll in a course that examines violence against women from a global and U.S. perspective while gaining first-hand experience of its effects by working with local community service organizations.
