Internships
Study Aboard
Rice Center Archaeology

The anthropology student at VCU has the opportunity to study abroad either on their own through the Center for International Programs or through specific anthropology courses that are offered during the summer. Posible summer programs include the Anthropology of Yœcatan (in MŽrida, Mexico) and Peoples and Cultures of the Caribbean (in Barbados). The anthropology faculty can also facilitate summer student field work that is administered by other universities or by other anthropologists, to be used for credit in our program. Students may also receive language study credits through the summer abroad program. Students may also want to arrange for independent study or a special internship tailored to their individual interests. Many new study abroad programs are being developed in the new School of World Studies.
