BIOL 691 Conservation Applications. Semester course; 3 lecture hours; 3 credits.

Course Goals:

Provide an opportunity to apply the principles of conservation biology.

Illustrate application of biological technologies employed by conservation biologists.

Gain experience in assessing various types of phenomena that affect biodiversity.

Illustrate some of the difficulties encountered by resource stewards who wish to apply conservation principles.

Semester Project:

Determined on an individual basis depending on total course registration. Topic due at midterm. Presentation will be posted on the above link and given to classmates at the end of the semester for critique. Classroom critique will count as part of the semester grade.
