BIOL 691 Conservation Genetics Lecture. Semester course; 3 lecture hours; 3 credits.

Course Meets:

M&W in Rm 250 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM and F in Rm 232 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM.

Prerequisits:

BIOL310 (and BIOZ310), BIOL317, and BIOL516 (or BIOL510) or permission of instructor.

Course Goals:

Introduce some of the biological technologies employed by conservation geneticists.

Illustrate some of the conceptual difficulties encountered by resource stewards who wish to apply genetic principles.

Complete a statistical analysis and present your interpretation of a typical genetic data set.
