Graduate research
A key component of our graduate programs is the opportunity for students to carry out cutting-edge research in collaboration with our faculty. It is expected that the results of the students’ research will be reported in high level scientific journals. To support their research, students have access to a range of advanced instrumentation, as described under Facilities in the Research section of this Web site. Departmental faculty members work in collaboration with other investigators, both at VCU and worldwide, thereby providing opportunities for graduate students to work on cross-disciplinary projects.
