Biochemistry track

This track is ideal for students interested in careers in the health sciences and in biochemistry research or graduate school in biochemistry and related fields. This option also is attractive for students interested in the burgeoning biotechnology industry. The specific degree requirements appear in the chart below.

1 40-43 Chemistry credits and 27-32 credits other requirements.
2 Students must take the chemistry placement test.  CHEM 100 is offered for students who lack preparation for CHEM 101 and does not count toward the 37 credits needed for the chemistry degree.
3 Students must take the math placement test. Depending on the results, the student may be placed in MATH 151 prior to enrolling in MATH 200.
  STAT 210 or 212 is required to meet the general education requirement in statistics.
