College initiatives
You can join our faculty and departments in supporting effective leadership through the work of the following organizations and agencies.
- The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute promotes the development of current and emerging leaders in academic institutions, the community and other public, private and nonprofit organizations to identify and build the next generation of leaders.
- The Performance Management Group works with organizations to train and develop individual leaders.
- A signature event of the Wilder School, the Excellence in Virginia Government Awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations in the public and private sector that have made noteworthy contributions to the practice of government and the welfare of our communities and citizens.
- Through the Especially for Nonprofit Organizations program, College faculty work with the Division of Community Engagement to support effective nonprofit management training.
