Campus initiatives
Find out how you can get involved in campus programs that ensure the safety of VCU and surrounding communities, as well as develop methods to prevent violence.
College initiatives
- The VCU Clark-Hill Institute for Positive Youth Development is one of eight National Centers of Excellence in Youth Violence Prevention funded by the Centers for Disease Control. The institute provides data on youth violence indicators.
- With support from the College and the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, the National Homeland Security Project conducts research on state government and homeland security and emergency preparedness programs in an effort to contribute to the work of policy makers and practitioners.
Campus initiatives
- VCU Police Department serves the students, staff and faculty of VCU, as well as the surrounding communities.
