Opportunity VCU
The College has joined the VCU and MCV alumni associations in a university-wide effort to raise $50 million for student scholarships and fellowships. The College is calling on alumni and friends to help in this important campaign.
Why Opportunity VCU is needed
Scholarships are needed more than ever as the cost of higher education continues to rise and the amount of support VCU receives from the state continues to decline. This year, VCU will receive $25.4 million less state support than it did in fiscal year 2000, despite enrolling more than 9,000 additional students. Scholarships attract the the most talented and motivated students to VCU.

The Impact of Endowed Scholarships

These named, endowed scholarships last in perpetuity. Scholarships make it possible for many deserving students to attend VCU, as well as help attract the most talented students to the university.
