The Department of English at Virginia Commonwealth University provides faculty to teach writing and general-education English courses at the VCU School of the Arts in Qatar, a private institution established by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development to provide special educational opportunities in the design professions for the citizens of Qatar.
