Amendment was started in 2003
because a group of students wanted a feminist/queer critical voice
on VCU's
campus.
The mission is
to provide a voice
to people in the VCU community who are passionate about feminism,
gender issues, queer perspectives, and issues that impact working
people and people of color by publishing creative and critical
work across the genres (poetry, prose, plays, personal narrative,
academic writing, and visual art). Submissions are accepted
year-round, and the journal is published in September of each
year.
