Camile Adams, (BA ’93, English), resides in Richmond, Va. and is employed as a senior clinician with VCU.
Ben Arnold, (BS ’00, Mass Communications), is a photojournalist with WRIC TV Channel 8 and resides in Midlothian, Va.
Rebecca Shelton Askew, (MS ’94, Public Administration), is employed by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a senior policy analyst. She resides in Chesterfield County with husband, Rodney Askew (BS ’95) and their two children.
Neal Azrolan, (MS ’81, Biology), is medical communications associate director for Merck & Co, Inc. He works with a team to determine publication strategies and create manuscripts for Merck’s HIV drug ISENTRESS Clinical program. He received a Ph.D. from NYU in 1997 and an MBA from Rider University in 2003. He has two boys, Matt, 17, and Brian, 15; stepdaughter Katie, 16, and stepson Jon, 21. He and his wife, Caroline, share a good and happy life in Newtown, Pa.
Erin P. Barry, (BS ’06, Criminal Justice), lives in Toano, Va. and is currently searching for a job in the criminal justice field and working full-time with the Embassy Suites Hotel company in Williamsburg, Va.
Hugh Browder, (BS ’07, Anthropology), resides in Richmond, Va. and is a technician with Christian-Lorraine, Inc.
Robert G. Burnley, (BS ’72, Biology) resides in Richmond, Va. and is currently president of Robert G. Burnley LLC.
Sergio R. Bustos, (BS ’84, Mass Communications), lives in Miramar, Fla. He is assistant city editor for The Miami Herald and recently had his first book published. He co-authored “Miami’s Criminal Past – Uncovered” with a fellow colleague at The Miami Herald. The book was published by The History Press.
Ron Chandler, (BS, MS ’59, Advertising, Education), lives in Richmond, Va. He is retired from the Virginia Department of Education, where he was director of vocational education. Chandler enjoys keeping up with the growth of VCU. When he enrolled at RPI in 1956 he would never have believed VCU would grow to be the respected institution it is today. He is proud to have been part of that success.
Susan Ciconte, (BS ’93, Psychology, History), resides in Minneapolis, Minn. and is an eligibility technician for Hennepin County. Ciconte recently took the leap from the private sector into the public one. She currently works in Minnesota’s largest county determining eligibility for new and current public assistance clients. Recently, she worked in Milwaukee as a computer hardware and software trainer for its public library system, while pursuing graduate interests in library science and continuing education. Forthcoming graduate studies will be a master’s degree in Public Administration.
Jessica Jordon Evans, (BS ’05, Criminal Justice), resides in Midlothian, Va. and was recently married.
Kevin H. Ferguson, (MS ’78, Sociology), is an academic adviser with VCU and resides in Richmond, Va.
Evelyn Frasure, (BA ’97, English), is an attorney for the United States Air Force and resides in Alexandria, Va. She recently completed the LL.M. in Environmental Law at George Washington University and is currently serving as a Major Select, Judge Advocate at the U.S. Air Force’s Environmental Law Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Richard Galloway, (BS ’85, Chemistry), resides in Quakertown, Pa. He is currently an application services senior analyst with Merck in West Point, Va.
Anita George-Burroughs, (BS ’98, Criminal Justice), resides in Richmond, Va. and is employed as a human services specialist with the Henrico Department of Social Services.
Don Goff, (BS ’77, Biology), resides in Milford, Conn. with his wife, Janet and youngest daughter, Eryn. He is the assistant director of Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport. He received a M.S. in Management from Albertus Magnus College in 2002.
Toni D. Green, (BA ’05, English), currently resides in Richmond, Va. and is a teacher with Henrico County Public Schools. She moved back to Richmond to continue a teaching career and is pursuing a master’s degree in education, with a concentration in curriculum and instruction.
Ronnie Greene, (BS ’86, Mass Communications), is completing his first book, “Night Fire: Big Oil, Poison Air, and One Woman’s Fight to Save Her Town. ”The nonfiction environmental justice narrative, set in Louisiana, will be published in 2008 by HarperCollins/Amistad books. A Miami Herald journalist, Greene also teaches graduate level journalism at the University of Miami.
Brenda Guido, (BS ’98, Psychology, Business), resides in Overland Park, Kan. and is a customer operations manager for GE in Merriam.
Altimese Hamli, (BS ’07, Mass Communications), is employed by Paychex as a payroll specialist and resides in Marietta, Ga.
Jennifer Henson, (BA ’02, History, Political Science), resides in Raleigh, N.C. and is an associate attorney in the personal injury and real estate sections with Anderson, Jones and Gengo in Raleigh. She is a 2007 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law.
Paul Hussar, (BS ’87, Administration of Justice and Public Safety), resides in Spotsylvania, Va. He is a special agent with the U.S. Department of State. He recently returned from Cotonou, Benin where he served from 2005-07 as the regional security officer at the U.S. Embassy in Benin. He is currently assigned as a special agent at Diplomatic Security’s World Headquarters in Rosslyn, Va. His wife, Nancy, gave birth to their first daughter, Kate, in August 2006. They also have four boys, Gary, 17, Jack, 15, Sam, 13, and Will, 11.
Victoria Jordan, (B.S. ’99, Criminal Justice), is married and currently resides in Hampton, Va.
Aimee T.H. Kessler, (B.A. ’96, Political Science), is employed by Segan, Mason & Mason, P.C., as an associate attorney. She resides in Annandale, Va. with her 1-year-old, Leia Eden Rose.
Jennifer Lewis Kuchno, (B.S./M.T. ’93, Sociology and Anthropology, Teaching), is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She resides in Richmond, Va. and teaches English as a Second Language at VCU. Kuchno was selected to serve as a 2007-08 Rotary Ambassadorial Cultural Scholar to Quito, Ecuador. As a scholarship recipient of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, she was able to continue her Spanish language studies while learning Ecuadorian culture. She represented the Rotary Club of Bon Air and Rotary District 7600 of Virginia as an Ambassador of Goodwill, volunteer and bilingual translator in Quito.
Keith W. Laskey, (B.A. ’92, History), is employed as a program executive for UJA-Federation of New York. He moved from Chicago to New York in May 2007.
Karen Belardo Lee, (B.A. ’94, English), is currently the educational outreach director for RFB&D in Princeton, N.J. She resides in Frederick, Md. with her daughter, Danielle.
Karen Liholt, (B.S. ’86, Mathematics), is currently the vice-president and CIO of Physicians Health Plan and resides in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mary Beth Joachim Long, (B.S. ’91, Mass Communications), announces the arrival of her first child, Ada Hilliard Long, in August 2007.
Adam Mann, (B.S. ’87, Chemistry), lives in Sunnyvale, Calif. and is a staff scientist with Xenoport, Inc. in Santa Clara.
James A. McGee, (M.S. ’97, Criminal Justice), is a faculty member at the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Miss. and resides in Pass Christian, Miss. He recently retired from the FBI and joined the faculty at USM School of Health, Department of Human Performance and Recreation, Center for Spectator Sport Security Management.
Brandi Hunter McKeating, (B.A. ’99, History), resides in San Francisco, Calif. and is an associate relationship manager for T. Rowe Price. After moving to San Francisco in 2004, her career path took a new turn. She received NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses and began working in the financial services industry. After a year at Goldman Sachs, she moved to T. Rowe Price. She manages various 401(K) client relationships. She and her husband live in the city and are expecting their first child in early 2008. They continue to sail the bay on their sailboat, Fine Girl, and take in everything the city and Bay area have to offer. During basketball season, they continually cheer for the Rams.
Demetrios J. Melis, (B.S. ’03, Criminal Justice Services; MPA ’05, Public Administration), was recently promoted to assistant director of investigations for the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. He oversees the Northern Virginia Field Division and resides in Colonial Heights, Va.
Jon A. Moreshead, (M.S., MD ’76 Chemistry), resides in St. Charles, Mo. and is the owner of GoodHeart Group, Inc. He is currently launching the marketing of an all natural substance that will effectively and safely treat multiple types of infections including MRSA. Simultaneously he will be launching the marketing of an assessment based on metabolic type that will direct their personalized plan for health improvement.
Leslie Orebaugh, (B.S. ’06, Forensic Science), resides in Norfolk, Va. and is a forensic scientist trainee with the Virginia Department of Forensic Science in Norfolk. She started with the program in 2007 and will become a forensic biology examiner in May 2008.
Grant Owens, (B.S. ’81, Biology) is president of Art Newsome, Inc., in Newport News, Va. He resides in Yorktown.
Christina Powell, (B.S. ’02, Mass Communications), is now a production designer for RTC Relationship Marketing in Washington, D.C. She resides in Manassas, Va.
David Renner, (B.S. ’97, Psychology), currently resides in Ashland, Va. and works in sales at Sourthern RV in Richmond, Va. He completed the MDiv, Union Theological Seminary and is Senior Pastor at New Hope Community Baptist Church in Ashland, Va.
Nancy Rivera-King, (B.S. ’80, pre-med/Biology), is president of Dr. Nancy’s House Calls and resides in Annapolis, Md. She started a home visiting physician business in 2004. She is married and has one daughter, three step-children and a wonderful husband.
Daniel Rudge, (M.S. ’88, Urban and Regional Planning), resides in Midlothian, Va. He was recently named the first Manager of Strategic Planning with the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation in Richmond, Va.
Katie (Hertel) Sanner, (B.S. ’04, Creative Advertising), lives in Sterling, Va. and is currently employed as a marketing coordinator with William H. Gordon Associates, Inc. in Chantilly, Va. She recently won the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) D.C. Chapter Rising Star award.
Michael A. Scruggs, (B.S. ’81, Mass Communications, M.S. ’87, Urban Planning), is an opportunity pursuit manager for Microsoft Corporation in Reston, Va. Scruggs directs the Public Sector Division of Microsoft’s U.S. Pursuit Services team. He develops business strategy and leads pursuit teams to capture government business. He is completing his second term as president of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals. In June 2007, Scruggs was awarded the Steven Shipley Award for his leadership of the Washington, D.C. chapter and innovations to the profession. His spouse, journalist Carol Dunlap (B.S. ’83, Mass Communications), and their two sons reside in Vienna, Va.
Charles H. Smith, (M.S. ’81, Public Administration), is currently sailing aboard the USNS Rainier, a military sealift command replenishment ship, as the Third Cargo Mate. He supervises flight deck operations during underway replenishment with Navy ships. The ship supplies jet fuel to carriers and surface warships as well as parts and groceries.

Nathan A. Smith, (B.A. ’05, History), resides in Washington, D.C. and is a collections care technician for the Library of Congress.
William E. Spicer, (B.A. ’72, Physics), is a consultant for the South Carolina Research Agency and resides in Honolulu, HI.
Kelly Miller Stacy, (B.S. ’91, Mass Communications), is self-employed as a freelance medical writer/editor and is based in Atlanta, Ga. She passed the certification exam for the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences in October 2007. She and her husband, Rob, are expecting their first child, a boy, in March 2008.
Kathy Lee Storie, (B.S. ’92, Chemistry), lives in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and works for United Space Alliance, a prime contractor to NASA for the space shuttle and Ares programs. She leads a group of engineers who are responsible for ensuring special processes, such as welding, soldering and plating, that are performed properly in-house and at their suppliers. Her husband, James, a 1997 MCV School of Nursing graduate, has recently moved to Tennessee.
Howard Taylor, (B.S. ’78, Criminal Justice), resides in Richmond, Va. and is employed by the Virginia Department of Corrections as a probation and parole officer. He retired in April 2007 after 28 years as a criminal justice practitioner.
May Duffield Thomas, (BME, BS, Post Bacc. ’00, Music Education, Chemistry, Environmental Studies), is an R & D chemist with Afton Chemical Corporation in Richmond, Va.
Monica Arnold Tucker, (M.S. ’03, Criminal Justice), currently resides in Durham, N.C. and is accreditation manager for the Durham Police Department.
Donna-Jo Webster, (B.S. ’06, Mass Communications), is currently the branch manager of the Cochrane-Rockville Branch of the Pamunkey Regional Library in Rockville, Va. The library has an annual circulation of about 49,500 volumes and a staff of 10.
