Stanley Berent (M.S. ’67) is professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Michigan. Last year he finished his term as chair of university administration and recently co-authored the book, “Neurobehaviorial Toxicology.”
Ann D. Beverly (B.S. ’95; M.S. ’97) works as a commission ombudsman for the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and as a VCU adjunct professor, teaching marriage and family relationships.
Reginald V. Davenport (B.S ’92; M.T. ’04) is an assistant principal at John Randolph Tucker High School in Richmond, Va.
David R. Edgren (M.S. ’88) is entering his 11th year of a private practice of law in Anchorage, Alaska.
Lisa E. Laws (B.S. ’80) is employed at Duke University in clinical research administration and just entered graduate school at George Washington University.
Kevin B. Page (B.S. ’86) is the new director of the Department of Rail and Public Transportation in Virginia.
James Propst (B.A. ’94) is a German teacher at East Chapel Hill High School in North Carolina and will be getting married in the summer of 2007.
Barbara W. Reese (M.P.A. ’89) was honored as a 2006 finalist for Virginia Business CFO of the Year.
Susan Schlegel Cumbia (B.S. ’80; M.Ed. ’83) is the director of a children’s educational series at St. Joseph’s Villa in Richmond, Va.
Louise Seals (M.S. ’83) retired as editor of the Richmond Times-Dispatch in July of 2006.
Chris Silver (M.U.R.P. ’79) is the former dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences at the University of Florida and was recently named dean of design, construction and planning at the university.
Rashard Wright (B.A., M.T. ’01) recently became the youngest principal of C. Vernon Spratley Middle School in Hampton, Va., at the age of 28.
Jennifer Johnson (M.S. ’93) a professor of sociology, received the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the highest-ranking civilian award, for her work in support of the military. Johnson worked for three years as a social network analyst at the Joint Warfare Analysis Center in Dahlgren, Va., helping to develop a methodology for analyzing adversarial networks and examining how they function and interact. Johnson also created a training program to teach the methods to others.
