Welcome to the VCU Language Learning Center.

The Department of Foreign Languages seeks to give every student 
taking a language course at the Virginia Commonwealth University, whether it be Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, 
Arabic or Latin the very finest learning experience possible. The Language Learning Center was created in order to provide a high-tech multi-media learning area for our foreign language students and faculty 
for both instructional and individual open-access use.

The LLC provides a well-equipped, welcoming and inducing location 
for language learning with high-tech equipment, a wide variety of 
resources and materials including software and cd-roms, 
audio-cassettes, video cassettes, Digital Video Discs, SCOLA, Email 
and Internet access, services such as audio and video duplications, PAL/SECAM/NTSC conversions, daily recording of international news
programs (France, Spain, Mexico, Germany, etc.).

We also provide technical help, encouraging faculty to incorporate the 
use of multi-media material and worthwhile technology into their courses.
Through workshops and orientation sessions we instruct faculty and
students on the use of lab equipment and resources, such as a the 
Tandberg console and the DIVACE system.
