Awards
The faculty and staff of the Department of Forensic Science
at Virginia Commonwealth University know how hard our
graduate students work and how important it is for
us to show our support. Awards include:
Outstanding Forensic Science Student Award,
Forensic Science Academic Achievement Awards, and
Forensic Science Leadership and Service Awards.
Nominations are accepted from faculty and program
advisers. The faculty awards committee makes its determinations
early each spring semester.
Outstanding Student in Forensic Science Award
Graduate Criteria:

Outstanding achievement or service in academics,
career, university or community

Presented at the college’s award ceremony

Award:
The college presents the recipient with a plaque from the Department of Forensic
Science at the College of Humanities and Sciences spring award ceremony.
The department awards the recipient a one-year subscription to a professional
magazine/journal or a one-year membership in a professional organization
(up to $150 value).

Awards
