Interested in learning about other programs at Virginia Commonwealth University that relate to Forensic Science? Maybe a major in Biology, Chemistry or Criminal justice is right for you.

Biology and Forensic Science both focus on living organisms' function and their physical characteristics. If you are interested in focusing more on these areas, a bachelor’s in Biology might be of interest to you.

Chemistry and Forensic Science are very much alike in that both fields study how organisms react to different stimuli and how to analyze unknown substances in laboratory settings. If this type of work appeals to you, majoring in Chemistry might be the way to go.
Criminal justice is the law side of Forensic Science. Forensic Scientists analyze the evidence, while Criminal justice professionals document, gather and preserve it. If you find that law enforcement and court settings are of more interest to you, take a moment to learn about Criminal justice and the new Forensic crime scene investigation concentration.
