Undergraduate programs in the School of Mass Communications

The School of Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University prepares students for careers in the mass media and related fields, and students in the school develop high standards of ethical and journalistic performance.

The school offers a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with specialization in one of three sequences — advertising, journalism and public relations. The required courses in the curricula provide a broad educational base as well as instruction in the techniques of mass communications.
