Autism Clinic for Children

The Autism Clinic offers a variety of clinical services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. Our goal is to provide clinical services based upon empirically supported assessment and treatment interventions.

We offer comprehensive diagnostic evaluations as well as child- and family-focused interventions.

Diagnostic evaluations

The Autism Clinic provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of Autism Spectrum Disorders for children and adolescents. Our evaluations include parent interviews, behavioral observations and cognitive or developmental assessment. The primary aim of the evaluation is to establish diagnosis and generate recommendations for treatment and service planning.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy services are typically designed to increase the ability of children and adolescents to successfully function at home, school and in the community. Our child-focused services typically focus upon developing behavioral, emotional and social skills. The child-focused services adopt a skill training approach aimed to help children develop and maintain social relationships and cope with anxiety, depression and anger. Our family-focused services are designed to support the child-focused services by teaching parents how to help their child use their new skills across different settings.
