At CPSD, we are devoted to helping people and are sensitive to
their needs. We understand that certain financial situations can
interfere with your willingness or ability to seek help. Our fees
are set from a sliding fee scaled according to your family income
so that you do not have to be concerned about high dollar sessions;
rather, you can focus on feeling better.
During your first visit, you will be seen by a staff clinician
for an intake evaluation. There is a $20 charge for this initial
intake session. All sessions following this intake are based on
the sliding scale. VCU staff are eligible for a discount for CPSD services. You are expected to pay for services (e.g., counseling,
evaluation, testing) at the time the services are rendered. We accept
cash, checks, American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa.
At times, clients are referred to the center from an agency or
individual who pays for the services here. Please inform your therapist
if someone other than yourself is responsible for paying your fee.
We will ask you to sign a release of information if you would like
to share information with this person or agency.
