Amber Amato (formerly Lee) ’05 – Has begun a career in public service to the state and local government, currently working in the Office of the Governor. Married and lives in Dinwiddie.
Tiffany Allen ’94 – Writes as Mechele Armstrong and co-writes as Melany Logen. As both Armstrong and Logen, Tiffany has been nominated and won several awards in romantic fiction. Both have multiple books out.
Joseph Austin ’05 – Finishing MDiv from BTSR.
Renee Bernstein ’02 – Currently working on Masters Degree in Environmental Studies at VCU.
Virginia Casanova ’04 – Masters in Linguistics from UVa (’05) and currently working as Internship and Events Coordinator for the School of World Studies. Married 25 yrs. to Lorenzo, with 2 children, Daniel 23 and Melissa 16.
Matilda Cochet-Bowden ‘96 – Her oldest son, Jonathan, is currently attending VCU. Participating in the Foreign Languages for Elementary Schools program which started in the Richmond Public Schools in recent years.
Charles Cosby ’05 – Teaching at Chamberlayne School. Attending graduate school 2007-08.
Katherine Gallagher ’95 – owns a video production business, Belles Choses Productions. Married in 2003, now the proud mother of Joseph born in ’05.
Jennifer Gore ’97 – Recently returned to Richmond to start her own translation company, Philologie LLC, after seven years in Paris working as a legal translator.
Christiane Groth ’95 - Currently lives and works in the DC area. Has worked with United Educators since 2003 and specializes in crisis management issues for higher education institutions. Completed a Doctorate in higher education at the College of William and Mary in 2003.
Michelle Kirby ’03 – Office manager for Positive Vibe Café, a non-profit organization “Training and Employing People with Disabilities in Food Service.”
Shawn Redwood ’97 – Just received a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain to be a North American Language and Culture Assistant in a public school in Madrid for school year 2007-2008.
Hernán Restrepo ’05 – Currently working on a Masters in Education at VCU and is a Spanish Instructor for the School of World Studies. Married to Patricia, with 2 sons in high school.
Scarlett Sams ’06 – Illustrator for 2 textbooks, What is Religious Studies: a Journey of Inquiry by Kristin Swenson and Esther Nelson, and How to Flunk Community College 101 for Northern VA Community College System. Currently working towards Master of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education and working at the Pace Student Center Methodist Ministries at VCU Campus.
Matthew Sievert ’06 – Masters Student at VCU.
Aracelis Soler-Salazar ’06 – Correctional Officer at the Beaumont Juvenile Correctional Center. Married, no children. “My mother was and still is my role model.”
Shawn Sthreshley ’96 – MT from VCU and M.A. from Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education. Teaching 4th grade at Swift Creek Elementary School.
Crystal Varner ’06 – Currently attending seminary at Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education (Union-PSCE) here in Richmond, working on a Masters of Divinity.
Jonathan Waybright ’90 – Owns Waybright Investments and teaches as an Adjunct Instructor for the School of World Studies. Recently took a group of VCU students to excavate Tell Zayit in Israel.
Seanne Webster-Davis ’94 – Began working at Hopewell High School in October teaching Spanish II & III. Taught college Spanish for 10 years prior to that. Attends graduate classes at VCU with plans to attend VA Tech. Lives with son, 10, here in Richmond.
