Change of Major/Minor Procedure
- If changing major and/or minor to program within the School of World Studies, then you must make an advising appointment to go over all general education and major requirements for the respective program.
- List old major you are changing from, even if it is undeclared.
- Write in new major and/or any minors being declared.
- Please note special requirements if declaring a major in International Studies:
- You must declare a concentration in one of the designated tracks (choosing from among area or global studies).
- All INTL majors must have an accepted minor declared in one of the following: ANTH, RELS, FREN, GERM, SPAN, ITAL, HIST, POLI, SOCY, URSP, ECON, or general business.
- Once the form is completed, take it to the Dean’s office, Hibbs Room 201, to have it signed.
- After a signature from the Dean’s office, the form should be sent to Founder’s Hall to be processed and put into the system.
- After 2 weeks, it is recommended you check your unofficial transcript to make sure the form was processed properly and is showing your official change of major/minor.
Please note: If you have completed all of the above steps and your change or major/minor has not appeared, please contact Founder’s Hall, Records and Registration, to address the problem.
