The economy of China is rapidly developing and deeply impacting international economies through global trade. The Chinese language has many dialects, of which the most common is Mandarin, and is one of the official languages of the United Nations; it prominently shapes the context of international diplomacy, trade and politics. Any student of International Relations and Politics understands the present significance of the Chinese language and culture. Knowledge of the Chinese language offers many careers which develop and contribute to intercultural dialogue in both private and public spheres. The language also offers insight into such a large economy’s effects on global markets and government. China and its language are powerful agents throughout the world and require many more students in order to establish diplomatic dialogue, cooperation among many nations and international well-being. |
