Welcome to the Latin language program at VCU!
To study classical Antiquity is to study the very origins of Western civilization. Our program offers a detailed knowledge of Latin grammar as a means to approach important texts, which then can be read with a comprehensive understanding of style, form and significance. The Latin language illuminates the Western tradition and gives to its students an understanding of the original and continual forces that shape our present world.
