Spanish Honor Society Inductions 005: Faculty Sponsor Dr. Laura Middlebrooks explains the Sigma Delta Pi induction ritual while Professor Virginia Casanova, Internship & Event Coordinator, lights the ceremonial candles. The College of Humanities and Sciences Dean's Office was instrumental in the reactivation of VCU's Pi Psi Chapter.

Each inductee is awarded the ceremonial " clavel ," or carnation. Inductees also received an official certificate ( certificado ) and a pin ( distintivo ) bearing the coat of arms of Castille, Spain.
