To qualify for a World Studies internship, you must have completed a minimum of 6 credits at the 300 level in a related World Studies major/minor.  For foreign language credit, the internship placement must require the use of, and the coursework must be completed in, the target language.

For an Instructional Assistantship (IA), you may not assist a professor with a course you are still eligible to take for credit (i.e., you must have completed, placed out of, or otherwise already received credit for the course with which you will be assisting).

For the SPAN 494 Internship, you must have declared the SETIC Program as part of your field of study and completed either SPAN 400 Spanish Translation or SPAN 404 Spanish Interpretation.  The other course must be taken concurrent with the Internship.

Once you have completed the application, or if you have any questions about your eligibility for an internship, please call 827-1111 to make an appointment with the Internship Coordinator. Please review the Internship Overview and General Course Requirements.
