A native of Italy, Vera came to Richmond in 2004 and joined the Department of World Studies as an adjunct faculty and an Italian instructor. Vera grew up in a small historical town in Italy, Fondi, situated half way between Rome and Naples, and completed her training in Education in 2003 graduating cum laude from “Universita’ Roma Tre” in Rome, Italy. Her academic interests range from European history and philosophy, to Italian as a second language, to social studies on school dispersal and students’ guidance. When away from work, she is a mom of a wonderful newborn baby girl. She also enjoys shopping, cooking and reading (whenever her daughter allows her to).
