DIRT

Paul Dvorak is Professor Emeritus of German at Virginia Commonwealth University. He joined the former Department of Foreign Languages at VCU in 1974 and twice served as its chair. Currently he is Program Coordinator at VCU for the Governor's Foreign Language Academies. He has published books, articles, and translations focusing on turn-of-the-century, postwar, and contemporary German and Austrian literary and cultural topics. Authors he has dealt with include Arthur Schnitzler, Franz Kafka, Stefan Hermlin, Robert Schneider, Alfred Kolleritsch, Peter Henisch, and most recently Alois Brandstetter.
