 Coordinator of Spanish/English Translation and Interpretation PhD, Boston University M.A., University of New Mexico B.A., College of William & Mary Email - middlebrooks@vcu.edu Office - Lafayette Hall Laura Middlebrooks joined VCU’s Spanish-English Translation and Interpretation Certificate Program in 2008 after writing her dissertation on the sexual rhetoric of translation at Boston University. With both a B.A. and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the College of William & Mary and the University of New Mexico respectively, she is committed to an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Her research interests include classroom technology and feminist literary analysis. In addition to teaching translation and interpretation courses at VCU, she is also the Faculty Sponsor of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Spanish Honor Society, and a Northern Virginia AHEC Community Interpreter. |
