Dr. Smith has more than 20 years experience in business living and/or working in Spain, Saudi Arabia, Mexico. He has spent short periods teaching Hebrew, and, more recently, he was a professor of Latin at the University of Richmond. There, he initiated the Latin Program and taught it for three years. Now that he is at VCU, he is teaching religious studies courses. His current load includes RELS 317: Islam and RELS 340: Global Ethics and World Religions.
