Professor Weaver-Williams’ current course offerings are in the area of religion and gender and religion and film. Her course on Women and the Bible  (RELS/WMNS 373) focuses on issues of gender in biblical texts. A new class on sexuality and gender in biblical literature (RELS/WMNS 391) will be offered in Fall, 2010.

Religion and Film (RELS 422) explores meaning within contemporary film through the lens of religion, focusing on topics as such as redemption, the nature of good, evil, and the sacred. This course will be offered in Fall, 2010.

Dr. Weaver-Williams’ recent research culminated in a conference presentation on the portrayal of the Apocryphal character, Susannah in biblical art.
