World Studies Media Center FAQ
What is Novell login?
Novell is a security system used to log into a server. It is designed to use user IDs and passwords to access secured applications on a specific server. This means you will only have to enter the user ID and password once, rather than every time you want to access secured files. Novell personalizes each login, providing for the specific needs of each ID. The program stores and maintains information related to your account and will make this information available once logged in. The login also ensures that the data you are accessing is encrypted to keep it safe.
If you find that you cannot access the W:/ Drive, you are not logged into Novell.

To login:
1) Click the "Start" button on your toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Find the red "N" symbol and click on it.
2) Enter the username "forlab" and leave the password box blank.
4) Click on the "Advanced" button in the lower right hand corner of the window. Make sure the "Context" box has "LABS.HAS" selected. Tree should be (HAS)
5) Click "O.K." and you will be logged into the server.
