World Studies Media Center FAQ

Can I print in the WSMC ?

Yes, students in the main lab (426) can print in the World Studies Media Center. When a computer is logged into the Novell network (as every WSMC computer is automatically), the printer shows up as HP laserjet 4250. Students can print any material they wish by using RamBucks as they do in the library.

Students participating in a class in the 424 lab may print for free.

To print from our computers:

1) You must send your document to the printer by clicking the print icon.

2) This will prompt the Pharos screen to come up. It will ask you to type in your name and a name for the document. After filling out the boxes, click “print” and the program will send your document to the printer queue.

3) To retrieve your document from the printer you must have RamBucks on your VCU student ID. Swipe your ID card at the computer next to the printer and select your document from the list. Click “print” and then “log out” when you’re finished.
