How do I look up a word in the Microsoft Office Thesaurus or Dictionary?

When using Microsoft Word, you can look up words by clicking on the "Tools" tab and then "Research". This will bring up a panel on the right hand side of your screen.

To look up a word:

1) Enter a word into the "Search for..." box at the top of the screen.

2) Select which reference materials you would like to search from in the box directly below the "Search for..." box.

3) Click the green arrow beside the boxes or hit the "Enter" button and Word will perform its search.

4) The results will appear in the window below your search criteria.
