Hi, my name's Jeff Castle and I am a Music major with a German minor. I would say the most outstanding part of being involved in the World Studies School is the faculty's command of not only the language itself (which in my case was German) but also their breadth of experience in German-speaking countries and cultures; if I were to function in a German-speaking country I would feel more than prepared not only from a language standpoint but also I would feel like I have a perspective on the people and their lifestyle and I wouldn't feel like so much of a foreigner. I would recommend studying with the VCU World Studies School if you have a chance, it's a wonderful opportunity and these people are not only highly intelligent but also very eager to help. |
